Key takeaways
- Vest is a perps exchange: stocks, indices, crypto, gold, oil and FX in one USDC account.
- Evaluation accounts start at $39 with code SNIPERS. Instant accounts go live right away with a 95% split.
- No consistency rule, no payout buffer and no minimum trading days. Claim profit any day.
- The two rules that matter: 3% max daily loss and a 6% static drawdown. Breaking either closes the account.
I bought a Vest account, traded it, and claimed a payout ($159.53, certificate in the video). This is the written version of the video: what Vest actually is, how both account types work, and what every rule means in dollars.
What are perps?
Perpetual futures ("perps") are futures contracts that never expire. You can go long or short with leverage, and there are no contract months to roll.
Because there is no expiry date pulling the price back to the real market, perps use a funding rate. Every hour, one side pays the other:
- If the perp trades above the real price, longs pay shorts. Holding a long gets expensive, traders sell, and the perp drifts back down.
- If the perp trades below the real price, shorts pay longs, and the opposite happens.
For a day trader this barely matters. If you hold for hours on the crowded side, those small hourly payments add up and count against your account like any other cost.
What is Vest Markets?
Vest is a perps exchange with markets on stocks, indices, crypto, commodities (gold, oil) and FX, all from one account settled in USDC. Vest lists Coinbase and Jane Street among its backers.
Vest Capital is their funded-trader program. You trade Vest's capital, keep most of the profit, and pay a one-time fee for the account. There are two paths: an Evaluation, or an Instant account that is live from day one.
Evaluation accounts and prices
The standard 1-Step evaluation uses a 3% max daily loss, a 6% static max drawdown and a 10% profit goal, with an 80% profit split. Prices below are the standard build, before and after code SNIPERS.
| Plan | Capital | Daily loss | Max drawdown | Goal | Price with SNIPERS |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Silver | $5,000 | 3% ($150) | 6% ($300) | 10% ($500) | |
| Gold | $10,000 | 3% ($300) | 6% ($600) | 10% ($1,000) | |
| Platinum | $25,000 | 3% ($750) | 6% ($1,500) | 10% ($2,500) |
You can also build a bespoke evaluation: pick a 10% or 20% goal, a 3%, 4% or no daily loss limit, and an 80% or 90% split. A harder goal makes the account cheaper, and removing the daily limit or taking the 90% split makes it more expensive. There is also a fixed 2-Step option (10%, then 5%) from $15.
Instant accounts
Instant accounts skip the evaluation and trade real capital right away. The price you pay equals your max drawdown, there is no daily loss limit, and the split is 95%.
| Capital | One-time price | Max drawdown | Profit split |
|---|---|---|---|
| $500 | $10 | $10 (2%) | 95% |
| $5,000 | $200 | $200 (4%) | 95% |
| $10,000 | $400 | $400 (4%) | 95% |
| $25,000 | $1,000 | $1,000 (4%) | 95% |

The rules that close accounts
- Max daily loss (evaluations): 3% of your balance at 8 PM New York time. It resets every day at 8 PM ET.
- Max drawdown: 6% below your starting balance on evaluations, and it is static, so the floor never moves up. On a $10K Gold account the floor is $9,400.
- Equity based: open trades count. A losing position that touches either floor closes the account immediately, with no warning.
- No time limit and no minimum days. Trade at your own pace.
How payouts work
Make profit, then hit Claim profit on your funded account. The money is credited to your Vest primary account within 24 hours. From there you withdraw USDC to your own wallet on Base or Arbitrum. I send mine straight to Crypto.com.
There is no minimum claim, no cap, and no payout schedule to wait for. Your split is fixed when you buy the account: 80% or 90% on evaluations, 95% on Instant.
Vest vs futures prop firms
The biggest difference is the payout fine print. Most futures props make you trade a set number of days, follow a consistency rule and leave a buffer in the account before you can withdraw. Vest has none of those. The trade-off is tighter loss limits. Full comparison: Perps prop vs futures prop and futures payout rules compared.
FAQ
Does Vest Markets have a consistency rule?
No. Evaluation and Instant accounts have no consistency rule, so one big day does not block a payout.
How fast are Vest payouts?
Claims are credited to your Vest primary account within 24 hours. You can then withdraw USDC to your wallet.
What is the Vest Markets discount code?
Use code SNIPERS at checkout for 2.5% off. On the standard Silver evaluation that takes $40 down to $39.
Is Vest Markets legit?
I bought an account, traded it, and was paid $159.53 to my wallet. That is one trader's experience, not a guarantee. Read the rules carefully, because breaking the daily loss or drawdown closes the account permanently.
